Broadway Grosses: Cruising Into Fall

The early autumn doldrums continued on Broadway in the week leading up to Columbus Day, with 11 shows languishing at 60% to 80% of capacity. Long-running musicals remained on top, while Spring Awakening and Grease showed strength among the newer entries, playing at 97.19% and 93.56% of capacity, respectively. On the dramatic side, Roundabout Theater Company's revivals of The Ritz and Pygmalion continued in previews, joined by Chazz Palminteri in A Bronx Tale.
