Barry Williams, famous for portraying Greg Brady on the iconic 1970s sitcom The Brady Bunch, is set to star in a new off-Broadway musical revue called Growing Up 70s. The show, written by Chuck Nice from VH1's Best Week Ever and directed by Jason Summers, will open Theater at HA! located within HA! Comedy Club on November 15.
Growing Up 70s, created by Nice and Anthony Dinapoli, features original music and lyrics by Ronnie Dee. The 90-minite show promises to "take you on an interactive journey filled with colorful characters, disco, bell-bottoms, mood-rings and unforgettable music."
Williams' stage credits include Pippin on Broadway and in the national tour and more than 75 regional and touring productions, including Victor Victoria, The Music Man, City of Angeles, Romance/Romance, Man of La Mancha, Guys and Dolls and The Sound of Music. His recent TV credits include appearances on S Club 7, Fear Factor and Celebrity Boot Camp. He has also released his first pop CD entitled The Return of Johnny Bravo and authored the book Growing Up Brady/I Was A Teenage Greg, which was made into a TV movie.
Growing Up 70s will play Thursdays through Sundays at the Theater at HA!
