Turturro will play the lead character of Hamm in Beckett's classic, with Epstein and Stritch as his ashcan-dwelling parents, Nagg and Nell. No casting has been announced for the role of Hamm's manservant, Clov.
Stritch is currently enjoying a sold-out run of her acclaimed solo show, Elaine Stritch at Liberty, at Cafe Carlyle. A 2002 Broadway mounting of the show won the Tony as the year's Best Special Theatrical Event. The actress, who turns 82 in February, received Tony nominations for her performances in A Delicate Balance, Company, Sail Away and Bus Stop.
