Judith Ivey's off-Broadway production of Secrets of a Soccer Mom has moved its opening night forward by two weeks. Kathleen Clark's comedy, which will begin previews on February 9 at the Snapple Theatre Center, will now open on March 5 rather than March 20, as previously announced.
In Secrets of a Soccer Mom, Caralyn Kozlowski, Nancy Ringham and Deborah Sonnenberg star as three women who leave their traditional spot on the sidelines to play in the annual mother-son soccer game. This ordinary day becomes extraordinary as the competition ignites their fierce desire to recapture their spirit, humor and passion.
Ivey and Clark collaborated last season on the play Southern Comforts, which was produced at Primary Stages. Secrets of a Soccer Mom will feature scenic design by Lex Liang, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, costume design by Elizabeth Flauto and sound design by Zach Williamson and is being produced off-Broadway by A-Frame Productions.
