Two Thousand Years Extends for Two Weeks, to 3/22

The New Group's production of Mike Leigh's family drama Two Thousand Years will extend its limited engagement for two weeks, through March 22, at the Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row. The play opened off-Broadway on February 7, directed by the company's artistic director, Scott Elliott.

Two Thousand Years tells the story of an assimilated Jewish family whose quiet life in suburban London gets turned upside down when their son becomes seriously devout. The cast includes Laura Esterman, Richard Masur, Natasha Lyonne, Jordan Gelber, Merwin Goldsmith, Cindy Katz, Yuval Boim and David Cale.
