Tony Award winner Mandy Patinkin will present a solo concert, Mandy Patinkin on Broadway, on May 19 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre to benefit off-Broadway's Classic Stage Company. Patinkin's longtime collaborator Paul Ford will accompany him on piano at this one-night-only event. CSC is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary season.
Patinkin has given a series of acclaimed concerts on and off-Broadway over the years, including Celebrating Sondheim, Mamaloshen, Dress Casual and Mandy Patinkin in Concert. On March 29, he will re-team with Gypsy star Patti LuPone, his Evita co-star and fellow 1980 Tony winner, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center for an evening of Broadway medleys and duets, including tunes from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Vernon Duke and Sondheim.
Patinkin's Broadway credits include Tony-nominated performances in The Wild Party and Sunday in the Park with George and starring roles in Falsettos and The Secret Garden, among others. A veteran of moving ranging from The Princess Bride and Yentl to Ragtime and Dick Tracy, Patinkin most recently was a series regular on CBS's Criminal Minds.
