Len, Asleep in Vinyl to Kick Off Second Stage's Uptown Series

Second Stage Theatre will kick off this summer's Uptown Series with the world premiere of Carly Mensch's Len, Asleep in Vinyl. Directed by Jackson Gay, the play will begin previews on May 13open June 2 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre in the Upper West Side.

This dark comedy will feature Michael Cullen Bus Stop, Daniel Eric Gold subUrbia, Megan Ferguson BOOM, Leslie Lyles Ah, Wilderness! and Dan McCabe The Dear Boy.

In Len, Asleep in Vinyl, the title character Cullen, a legendary but disillusioned music producer, retreats to a cabin in the woods, where he is comforted by his many records. When his estranged son Gold and an ambitious-but self-destructive-pop star Ferguson both arrive on his doorstep, Len finds himself caught between their dreams and his own demons lurking in the woods.

Len, Asleep in Vinyl will have scenic design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Jessica Ford, lighting design by Matthew Richards and sound design by Mark Huang.
