L.A. Law stars and real-life spouses Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker are among the cast in the York Theatre Company's forthcoming off-Broadway premiere production of Enter Laughing: The Musical. Directed by Stuart Ross Forever Plaid, the show features a book by Joseph Stein Fiddler on the Roof and music by Stan Daniels co-creator of the sitcom Taxi. Previews begin September 3 at the Theatre at Saint Peter's, with opening night set for September 10. The limited engagement runs through October 12.
Based on the early life of comedian Carl Reiner and based on the hit play by Stein, Enter Laughing: The Musical tells the story of a stagestruck, woman-struck teenager who blunders his way into manhood via showbiz. Stein's original comedy debuted on Broadway in 1963 and earned Alan Arkin a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play. Stein would win his own Tony Award the following year for his book for Fiddler.

Enter Laughing: The Musical will have scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by David Toser and lighting design by Chris Robinson. Matt Castle will provide music direction.
