Let the Fans In! Hair Plans Onstage Post-Show CD Signing

To celebrate the official release date of the Broadway cast recording of Hair, the hit musical revival will host a “be in” at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre immediately following the 7 PM performance on June 23. Beginning at approximately 9:45 PM, fans will be able to go onstage to have their CDs autographed by cast members and the show’s band.

According to a news release about the event, “Ticketholders for that evening’s performance will have preferred access” to the onstage signing. “Non-ticketholders can begin lining up outside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre at 7 PM. CDs will be available for purchase at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre that night. Due to time constraints, only CDs can be signed.”

The Ghostlight Records Hair CD, featuring the 37-member cast and band, was recorded on April 6 at New York City’s Legacy Studios and is produced by Kurt Deutsch and Joel Moss, with Bill Rosenfield acting as executive producer. The current Broadway production of Hair is the winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical as well as Best Revival honors from the Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle.
