"I don't usually enjoy plays with just one person. I prefer the interactive dynamics that happen when at least two people dialogue. But Jean Smart doesn't need another person on the stage with her - she carries the show ALL BY HERSELF! And she does so with so much grace and power! Call Me Izzy tackles a very painful and all too common problem from the perspective of a very human survivor. Watching Jean's character transform from self-effacement to fierce empowerment is a thrill that everyone can relate to, even if they haven't experienced the same circumstances that Jean's character navigates.
