A great musical - see the folks that launched this new classic
"The music was astounding. Harmonies. Different styles. The set and use of space was so cool to see. The way the stories wove together - masterful. What an amazing show - highly recommend!"

Very funny premise, enjoyable throughout
"Acting and music were great. Story concept is a riot. First part was a little tedious but you had to lay the foundation. My only criticism is that the music was too loud in the first part of the show. Would have liked it to be slightly quieter. All in all a fun night."

A different broadway experience
"The cast was extremely talented both vocally and theatrically. The six person band who were part of the show were also very talented and gave a different slant to the Broadway experience replacing the orchestra. This is dark humor which may not be for everyone, but I thought it was great."

Some good, some bad
"I have mixed feeling about the show. I loved that it was weird and had a strange story. The singing was excellent and the actors, in their multiple roles, were funny and fascinating. But the band music was so loud it drowned out many of the vocals. The band took up lots of the stage both physically and in terms of time and energy. As I thought about it I felt that it brought its off-Broadway style to Broadway and it just didn’t completely click. "

Not great
"The music was good not great. The lead character was very offputting and unlikeable. Probably better as an off-Broadway show. But not one for a wide audience. "

Shouldn’t be on Broadway
"An offbeat story with unlikable characters and persistent, unmemorable rock music - it neither was enough of a curiosity nor a thematically resonant work."

Don’t waste your money
"The plot was absurd. While I get they were trying to be funny it just fell flat. Music was not very good. Cast wasn’t that great either. Not sure how this received 7 Tony nominations but I can see why they didn’t win one. Honestly sad I spent any money or time on this one. "
