Fascinating and disturbing
"Not much more I can add - Lithgow won the Tony. IT's a great play. Maybe don't see it if you ever want to read James and the Giant Peach again!"

Late, but loved it
"My friend and I were so looking forward to seeing Giant, and specifically John Lithgow. Unfortunately, I live in a different time zone and when in NYC it showed up with a start time an hour later than the actual start time. When we arrived late we thought about leaving, but decided to stay. Even with missing the first 45 minutes it was spell binding. John Lithgow was fantastic, and all as a matter of fact, ALL of the cast were brilliant! Highly recommend!!"

Stunning & Spellbinding
"The story line is so timely the play could have been written sometime more recently. John Lithgow’s performance was nothing short of amazing but so was that of the entire cast. Aya Cash and Elliot Levey were superb. I saw this on June 17 and if weren’t on vacation the next two weeks I’d see it again (and again) before it closes the end of June. I was left speechless !"

First Class Performances!
"The actors’ performances were extraordinary. Though we had great seats (1st row mezzanine), it took a few minutes at the start to be able to pick up Lithgow’s dialogue as he was looking down at this desk. I mention this not as a complaint but to encourage audience patience as the sound quality improved greatly within minutes. Overall, a terrific experience, though due to difficult, nuanced and sophisticated subject matter, I would not recommend for pre-teens. "

"The subject, while set in 1984, screams 2026. Riveting dialog and performances. Don't miss."

10000 stars! An extraordinary experience
"Just saw GIANT. Still can’t breathe properly. It is shattering. Lithgow is a giant! The most astonishing, powerful performance. I’ve seen him dozens of times. It’s this script. It’s searing. I’ll be processing for a long time. I think the script should be shared - it’s so compelling. The oldest hatred is the greatest understatement ever "

Riveting Spellbound Emotional Drained
"The entire cast of this show delivered beyond anyone’s expectations. It was almost as if they in fact war these historical characters. John Lithgow is one of the greatest actors I have ever seen on Broadway and I have been going to Broadway for over 40 years. The other actress in the show, each possess empathy, compassion, comedy, humanity, and a skill set that you don’t wanna miss!"

Giant is Giant of Broadway
"Do not miss this superb production. Giant is the best play I have seen in many years, maybe the best ever. The play is a nuanced examination of anti-Semitism in the life of a famed children's books author. John Lithgow gives the performance of a lifetime in the lead role. He will walk away with the Tony, no suspense in best actor category. All of the actors were outstandding, a great ensemble cast. While the subject is serious, there are moments of levity that lighten the drama. Giant is a don't miss production, especially with Lithgow in the lead."

Dahl rotten. Lithgow remarkable.
"The entire cast fires on all cylinders. John Lithgow is particularly hateful as Roald Dahl. It definitely made me wonder how such a despicable human could write such delightful stories for children. The two of us highly recommend this play if you can get tickets. "

John Lithgow is a national treasure.
"Everything about Giant was flawless. Except of course, the hideous truth of Roald Dahl‘s virulent antisemitism. Thanks to John Lithgow’s performance, the theater setting disappears and you’re right there in his living room being assaulted by the thoughtless, ignorant, vicious words he spews as if he’s in the right and Jews are foolish to think they are being persecuted. It’s a shocking and important play. "

Strong topic perfectly acted
"This play addressed a current issue with terrific articulation and great spontaneity. Antisemitism needs to be faced and this play challenges everyone to examine their inner soul beliefs. Excellent on all count. "

"What a memorable and magnificent experience! John Lithgow is the consummate actor, unparalleled in his ability to inhabit a character. The full cast was superb. The intelligent script deals with issues of historic significance — even though it might make some audience members squirm. BRAVO!!"

An important, phenomenal work of art!
"John Lithgow, as always, was brilliant. The subject was horrifyingly familiar and as relevant today as it was in 1983, when the play takes place. "

A rainy afternoon at the Music Box
"Fantastic cast and performances. The story line was well covered from both sides .I Left the theatre with feeling that two wrongs don’t make right . Plus how I need to be careful in how I judge people not as a group but as Individuals."

Thrilling conflict of opinion on a divisive issue.
"This is a sharply written play that brings incisive wit and argument to the current debate surrounding anti-semitism. It is brilliantly acted, particular by John Lithgow as the central character, and grips from start to finish."

Intense and thought provoking
"Giant was intense in the best way. We were totally engrossed in the story. By intermission, we already had a lot to talk about. After the show, we couldn't wait to sit down and discuss all the many thoughts it provoked about art versus the artist, antisemitism, not being seen as an individual, war, alcohol, and so much more. This is not a show one leaves at the theater door."
