An Immersive and Unforgettable Harry Potter Experience
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment it started, the storyline pulled me in and kept me fully engaged. While I know some people critique parts of the plot, I went for the overall experience—and it absolutely delivered.
The acting was phenomenal across the board. The cast brought so much energy and depth to both familiar and new characters, and every performance felt authentic and powerful.
The true standout, though, is the stagecraft. The visuals and illusions are honestly mind-blowing—gravity-defying spells, swirling cloaks, intense duels, and seamless transitions all happen live on stage without any CGI. It genuinely feels like magic is happening right in front of you, and that alone makes the show worth it.
The venue itself adds so much to the experience. You can tell the Lyric Theatre was completely transformed for this production—the themed architecture, detailed interiors, and overall design completely immerse you in the Wizarding World. Even the layout feels more intimate, which makes the show that much more engaging.
It is a longer production, so the intermission was perfectly placed and much appreciated. It also gave us a chance to enjoy the fun, themed snacks, which were a great touch and added to the experience.
Overall, this is a must-see for any Harry Potter fan or theater lover. Between the incredible performances, next-level stage magic, and immersive atmosphere, it’s easily one of the most impressive Broadway experiences I’ve had."

An evening of true magic and fun!
"What a great show. I had one chance to see a show on my latest trip to New York, and I'm so glad I picked this one. From the set design and the floating stairs, to the lake scenes, to all of the flying, it was just so cool. Don't even get me started about the dementors in the theater!! As a major Harry Potter fan, this was such a cool event.

Completely worth every penny!
"I have loved and grown up with Harry Potter and the Wizarding World (I am the same age as them!) and this was the most incredible thing I have ever seen. Much more amazing than the movies! Even before the show began I was tearing up because it was so excited! My favorite parts were when they went back in time and all the clocked turned, the dementors flying over us, and Voldemort walking right past us. Highly recommend this show! The cast, lighting, and effects are amazing!!! Totally worth the 6 hour drive there!"

"We loved the special effects. Very immersive, often feeling as if you were part of the show. As for recommending for children....I think if your child has read and enjoyed the ENTIRE Harry Potter series and/or watched the entire movie series and is not scared by dark themes at times then YES, they will love it! If the darker themes/elements are frightening then you should skip it. We thought it was incredible. My daughter was able to meet Tom Felton the night before she attended the show (her 2nd time attending, as she desperately wanted to see Tom on stage) and he was so gracious and she absolutely cannot stop talking about it!"

Fabulous show
"This was a wonderful show! The actors were superb - special shoutout to the young man playing Scorpius (Aidan Close, I think). He really *was* Scorpius. The rest of the cast were excellent too. The other thing that was brilliant was the magic! The crew and cast have done such a good job enabling the audience to feel like real magic happens on stage, with flying chairs and people etc. The theater is beautiful, too.
