"My family enjoyed this show so much. My son is 11 and was enthralled (he's read all the books), but I'm not sure I'd recommend it for kids under 10 due to some scary parts and some slow parts. The script was funny and the theatrics were incredible!! Half play, half magic show. Lyric theatre was clean and everything was very well-organized. Snacks delivered to your seat for free, too! Overall, highly recommend if you're a Harry Potter fan."

"On Monday evening, I had the absolute joy of seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway — and I am still under its spell.
This is not simply a sequel. It is theatrical spectacle of the highest order. The Lyric Theatre becomes a world of shifting staircases, Polyjuice transformations, duels, and time travel — all unfold live before your eyes in ways that remind you why theatre, even in the age of CGI, remains incomparable. The illusions are breathtaking — but they always serve the story.
So does the music. The atmospheric underscoring weaves through the production like an invisible spell, heightening tension, underscoring heartbreak, and propelling the time-bending action forward. It never overwhelms; it breathes with the actors, giving emotional shape to moments of intimacy and awe. The score is as essential to the storytelling as any wand or wand duel.
At its heart, this is an intimate piece about fathers and sons, about legacy and the burden of expectation. Harry and Albus’ fractured relationship carries genuine emotional weight, grounding the spectacle in something painfully human.
What moved me most, however, was the bond between Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy. Their love — steadfast, sacrificial, and utterly sincere — becomes the emotional center of the evening. It called to mind David and Jonathan: a friendship marked by fierce loyalty and a profound soul-connection that transcends rivalry and inherited division. In a world shaped by old grudges, these two young men choose one another with courage and tenderness. It is beautiful to witness.
And it was especially thrilling to see Tom Felton make his Broadway debut. Watching him return to this world, now older and reflective, added a layer of poignancy for those of us who are longtime fans. The audience response to him alone was electric.
