"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was an awesome play with spectacular magic and performing. Even if you did not ever read or see the movies of Harry Potter you could follow the storyline. My adult children have been fans since their youth and I have grown up with Harry Potter because of them. My husband had never seen Harry Potter and absolutely loved the performance. Go for the theater, not for Harry Potter
"While I know the whole HP story, I'm not precisely a fan, so the story in it wasn't of a major interest for me. Specially when other potterhead friends of mine told me how bad the script was. I confirmed that, in fact, the script is bad. I'm talking "my fourth fanfic" level of bad, filled with cliches and already seen before tropes. But it is a vehicle for the company to put a great display of theatrical effects. Every trick of the book is here, plus some you may not have considered. The acting is excellent, the props amazing, and surprises a-plenty. Definitely worth it as a theater experience, though not if you want a particularly well written story. Fans will be delighted, of course, and non-fans will be entertained enough by the continuous display of theatrical tricks."

"The stage effects were fantastic. Dialogue was spoken very fast and low at the beginning of the performance. It was difficult to understand the story.
Also, the theater staff was very disruptive with flashing their lights in our eyes several times. If people are late, they should have to wait to be seated at a more opportune time or reseated in another area.
Loved the ability to order concession at our seats. "

"Wir hatten ein Musical erwartet, jedoch ein Theaterstück bekommen ( das war unser Fehler 😉).
Vorwissen über die Zusammenhänge und gute Kenntnisse der englischen Sprache sind notwendig um alles zu verstehen.
Das Theater ist wunderschön, die Mitarbeitenden freundlich. Es ist alles sehr gut organisiert und sauber.
Die Schauspieler sind exzellent, die Effekte große Klasse!
Insgesamt dauert der Theaterbesuch 3,5 Stunden.
Mit Kindern ohne/wenig Englischkenntnissen würde ich die Veranstaltung nicht besuchen."
