"Admittedly, I was a generation too soon for the Boy Bands after NKOTB, but I did recognize the majority of numbers. It’s an entertaining alternative outcome with skilled performers."

Excellent Show
"What a fun show! Clever story and dialogue, awesome musuc. Was in the absolute last row and had a fantastic view - I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. I was with friends, I want to go back with my daughters."

Song and Dance and
"The pyrotechnics were outstanding.
Acting and dancing was superb.
Being older (82) I wasn’t familiar with the music. I knew only one song, but my middle age children recognized all of it.
I quite dislike profanity, of which there was more than enough. I see it as an example of how the culture has deteriorated.
Many references to contemporary issues; women empowerment, cross race romance, LGBTQ and anything else one can think of. "

Charming musical focused on empowerment and acceptance.
"Overall, an enjoyable cabaret of exceptional talent. Get there before November to see breakout star Tiernan Tunnicliffe as Anne Hathaway!"

Found it to be very entertaining, great talent in music that all ages.
"Our front row mezzanine seats we’re great. Staff directing people to restrooms, etc. very helpful. My 16-year-old granddaughter was thrilled with my choice for our annual summer Broadway show.Thank you for a wonderful production!"

Entertaining
"Love the show. Went with my husband, daughter and her friend. Show was funny, the story line was very creative and the music picked was perfect for the story line. A must see. This is not a show for young children. Don’t let the song titles fool you. The show is adult themed. "

Entertaining
"The artists were talented and enthusiastic and I loved the covers of the music from the 90’s and 00’s.
The storyline seemed a little forced. I loved the theme of taking control of your own life and destiny but the writers seemed to be trying too hard to make too many social statements at once in what was essentially an entertaining show.

Okay Show
"The actors were excellent & had great voices. Because the songs were pop hits, some of the audience sang along with the actors, which was irritating. The staging was great. It helps to know the play to understanding most of the jokes."

Fun show
"The storyline is a twist on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with popular music, great actors and vocal performances. There are some elements to the storyline that will not align to conservative Christian views, so something to consider when taking younger children. Overall, my daughter and I enjoyed this show."

Amazing performance mixed with an alright plot
"The cast is incredible. If you like musicals just for the vocal performances, I would highly recommend this. With that, I would’ve loved to have seen some original music—I think that typically contributes greatly to the musical as a whole. Remixing and mashing modern pop songs makes for a great experience but doesn’t do well to tie everything together. Especially when the story is not good enough to do that on its own. Overall: great music, funny script, not a great plot."

An intro to Broadway for Gen Z
"It was lively, well choreographed, amazing singing. The social themes were current. Definitely targets a younger audience. For a fantasy story, it got to be a bit too much. "

Fun Surprises for the Millennial Mom
"This RomCom was a cute play on what could have been of Romeo/Juliet. I will admit the second half was more vibrant, upbeat, enjoyable and spoke to my Millennial heart! I found the first half a bit dragging. The talent from the actors was incredible! "

Talented cast but weak story. A bit boring for that reason.
"I had high hopes given it featured the work of Max Martin. I thought it was a decent coming of age story with lessons for young and older people alike. However, I saw it the night after seeing Hamilton and it was “wet” by comparison. I’ve had the opportunity to see many productions in NYC and this was my least favorite. "

Don't waste your Money!
"This show did not keep anyone in our group's attention. My 15 year old son fell asleep. My husband hated it. We actually ended up leaving at the intermission. The dancing was good, but the story line really lacked. I would not go back and would not pay money to see it. "

Not Our Cup of Tea, Maybe It's Yours
"I went in thinking my wife and daughter would love it based on the description. So I wasn't really expecting to like it myself. My wife and daughter asked to leave halfway through. Similar to the Disney's approach to advertise Strange World without any hints of the gay romance that is central to the plot and then just have you find out in the show, it's kind of the same here. The reality is we saw more prolonged kissing in this show than all the shows we'd seen combined, and they were all Gay/Queer kisses. It's largely a queer pride story. If that's your jam, sweet. You should see it! However, for my wife and daughter, they didn't find it that relatable. I know many folks are big supporters and love it. So if that's the case, you should go see it. If it's not your thing, then now you know.
To top it off, Juliet's singing (on the night we went to see it), wasn't quite as good as some of the shows we'd seen. So that actually surprised me. "

The talent was mediocre and storyline was awful
"There were a few good singers. We enjoyed seeing Joey Fatone, and Juliet was really talented, but everyone else was mediocre or just drab. The storyline was awful. It’s sad to spend so much money on nice seats, and it’s the first show in NYC that’s we’ve ever left at intermission. While there were tons of kids, I would not say it’s appropriate for kids at all. I could hear the children behind me in shock, and they were forcefully pushing a sexual agenda. It felt more like a political rally than just enjoying a great show. Very disappointing for adults and children. Don’t take them please. Unnecessary foul language and vulgar. I wish I could get my time and money back. "

My High Expectations were Sorely Unmet!
"This show is not good. It is very hard to make a good comedy on Broadway and this one failed massively. No indication what time period this play takes place because it references the past but has modern items in it like the actors on stage wearing headphones that would not have existed then. Very convoluted because it includes too many substories (does not go deep enough into any one of them) and the musical is very lazy in its use of songs, i.e. not a lot of creativity. There are also some sexual innuendos that are inappropriate for young children. My expectations were high in that I thought it would be like the play Six. If you'd like to see a fun woman-empowering play, that one is MUCH better!!!!!"

Woke on steroids
"This was more about political messaging a variety of grievance topics than making and performing a great play. There were some very talented people and beautiful voices, plus some comedically cheeky and funny scenes, but all that got drowned out with the lack of a cohesive story heavily interspersed with trans messaging, gender discussions, boys who want to be girls kissing boys, and odd women's empowerment pushes. If that's your thing, go for it! "

Not For Everyone

Derivative, uninspired, insipid drivel
"This is the cheapest and weakest of all jukebox musicals. The song selection is so “on-the-nose” that even ChatGPT would be embarrassed. It’s KidzBop live. &Juliet what? Freed of Romeo, what does she do or want? Two full acts - lots of bad karaoke - for Juliet to only end up with Romeo in the end. Who is Juliet without a man? Just a girl in search of a man. "

Not my favorite Play…
"As I read the reviews for this play they all were good, it said that it was family friendly. So I felt that it would be a good fit for me and my family. As the show began it soon became apparent that it eas not family friendly. It is a cute idea and I was excited about it but as the play went on the focus became more about a gay relationship, gender identity. with a major focus on sex. Which is not something I would want my 8 year old to watch. The music is fun but the storyline was not a good fit for me and my family. We ended up leaving halfway through. "

About
& Juliet
& Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, all written by Max Martin and his collaborators, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.
