Intriguing twist on an old familiar tale
"&Juliet, a must see! It is a gift to Romeo and Juliet as was Wicked a gift to the Wizzard of OZ. Overall the show exceeded my expectations! I took my wife, a long time theater educator and Shakespeare enthusiast, and she was likewise impressed. The plot, the story, the twists and turns all kept the audience engaged. The actors did a wonderful job of singing. Although I know it is part of the playwriter's prerogative to manipulate the story in any way they deem fit, I was a little disappointed at how Romeo was portrayed, very one dimensional. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend anyone see this play, especially if they like the premise of Shakespeare's play. "

A strong story for strong people.
"We liked the positive story line, the ability of the cast to use self-referential comments and even break the fourth wall. It is a play for all ages."

Surprisingly accurate!
"The talent was incredible. Very simple set. Creators managed to take a story everyone knows and unconnected music everyone's heard and make them seem like they were made for each other. Upbeat and fun with a bit of profanity."

Dead not dead
"It’s been freezing in NYC so we’re trying to stay inside. & Juliet was our choice for a musical theater experience. It was fabulous with Juliet surviving her near death with Romeo then Romeo waking up from his near death. Will Shakespeare and Ann Hathaway narrated and rewrote as needed. Songs were fun and timed perfectly with the unfolding play drama. There were two underlying contemporary themes that worked/didn’t work but the play worked with or without them. We loved it. "

Great musical
"Excellent show, loved the singing. The actors/actresses were great! Loved the modern twist to Romeo and Juliet. And the actor who played Shakespeare as well as the one who played his wife Anne were incredible, very funny."

Concert on Broadway
"I honestly thought this was going to be a coming of age, post-Romeo story telling as I really had no idea what the musical was about. It was so much more than that. It had comedy and great music that I grew up on. The whole musical felt like a mini-concert and the audience was encouraged to join in at points. It far exceeding any expectation I have and I would absolutely recommend it. "

Most Visually Appealing Show Ever
"Took my two daughters and had a fantastic time. Hands down the most visually appealing and interactive show we have ever seen. The storyline was timely and relevant and underscored the importance of personal empowerment. Heads up to caregivers, there are a few explicit words used but nothing other the top. An absolute must-see. "

About & Juliet

& Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, all written by Max Martin and his collaborators, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.
