Full of Surprises!
"This was a wonderfully staged and engaging performance, right from (or before) the beginning. A great story, and very creative staging, made this entertaining to watch right until the end. With a few surprises thrown in as well!"

Poignant and sweet
"This show was such a nice surprise! I had heard it won the Tony and I was curious to see it after a friend of mine saw it and raved about it. It’s a show that really speaks to what it means to be human, to love, and to live told through two “helperbots”. There were moments where I laughed out loud and moments when I cried. It really was beautifully staged and acted. The two leads were wonderful, especially Zach Piser as Oliver. He was a standout for me! I highly recommend Maybe Happy Ending! 10/10 "

Great show
"I walked into the musical knowing absolutely nothing about it. Watching it alongside my high school graduate son, I caught a completely unexpected glimpse of him wiping away endless tears. This show speaks to everyone in its own unique way, leaving a beautiful, lingering echo in our hearts."

Delightful from beginning to end!
""Maybe Happy Ending" is clever, quirky, and thoroughly delightful. The music is elegant in its seeming simplicity - accessible, yet rich and compelling, with unexpected turns in melody and lyrics. The casting was spot-on. The "Oliver" and "Claire" characters are wonderful with real chemistry and voices that blend perfectly. The scenes, staging, effects and transitions are breathtaking. Being presented with key elements of life and the human condition - love and loss, loyalty and betrayal, hope and disappointment, denial and acceptance, identity and purpose, attachment and letting go - via a humorous, poignant story about a pair of intelligent and endearingly naive robot pals, opens us to learning, along with Oliver and Claire, what is most important. Fireflies fill the sky while love enlighten the shadows of relationships.
"It’s hard to believe four actors can bring anymore creative expression to some of life’s most challenging experiences. I, and seemingly everyone around me, took the journey right alongside Oliver and Claire into soul searching. Ironically, humans might be freed by robots to discuss their humanity and their relationships within the brokenness of life, while taking in life’s simple beauties like fireflies and sunny days. Time well spent!"

A futuristic rom com whose themes resonate and linger.
"As an avid theatre goer, I liked every aspect of this show: the quirky concept, the extra-smart visuals (with wonderfully effective special effects), the funny and poignant dialogue, the storytelling in the songs, the acting (I couldn't imagine Darren and Claire being improved upon). I have no improvements in mind, the show took me on a great ride, and dropped me off with my thoughts reeling...in a good way."

Very Good!
"Incredible show! Also unsurprisingly pretty sad. My seat was all the way in the back of the highest balcony at the Belasco and I could see maybe 95% of the show. But for the price I paid, I was very happy with that. It did trigger my fear of heights a little."

My favorite show of my NYC trip!
"I loved everything about MHE. The staging was so creative. The comedy was perfectly timed and delivered by Darren and Claire. The songs and lyrics were impactful - I've found myself listening to the soundtrack over and over again since returning home. The message of giving into the tides of love, especially with the reveal at the end... it's a human lesson that we can learn from two unconventional characters - two helper robots. When I learned that Claire Kwon would continue on as Claire for the national tour, I was ecstatic. I can't wait to see her perform again in San Francisco! "

The staging is mind blowing
"An unexpected pleasure - the two leads were superb and the story was lovely. But the staging!!! I could not figure out how they moved that stage around and it showed something different all the time. In my opinion, the lead actor of this show is the staging. If you can figure out how they did all those scene changes, let the rest of us know! Absolutely recommend."

A Celebration of Love
"My husband and I chose this show to celebrate living happily ever after for a trip to NYC for our 51st wedding anniversary. I was disappointed when someone told me it was about robots, but when we saw the show we loved it. The music and staging were fantastic. The fireflies were a touch of pure whimsy. The values expressed confirmed my sense that the writers had thought deeply about the pros and cons of how we use technology and the primacy of human relationships, but these "helper bots" could definitely teach us a lot about love and how to make a commitment. Heartily recommend. "

Modern story & Modern stage design!!
"I loved everything about the stage design. The sound songs, story, universal love with a “happy ending maybe?!” Never have I ever seen the likes of this except for Harold & The Purple Crayon forty years ago at the Children’s Theatre in MPLS MN. A must see! It touched my heart so deeply as I made connections to present losses in my life story. "

Total masterpiece! A show we're still buzzing about days later!
"No exaggeration - this show's a total masterpiece! Incredible acting, beautiful music, stunning sets, and a show we're still buzzing about days later! From the actors, music and storyline to the lighting and set design, all are just phenomenal! I really can't say enough about it. My husband and I are not frequent theater goers but walked out astounded. We're still talking about it days later. I'm not sure the storyline is meant for children, but certainly G-rated for all age groups. "

Fantastic Storyline, Incredible Staging
"Of course you would expect the music and storyline to be magical, and it is. But it’s the staging that made it for me. I have no idea how the set is constructed to create the moving scenes, but it steals the show. Don’t miss it. "

A wonderfully human story
"I loved this show, every portion of it was so captivating. While Oliver and Claire are robots they go through a plethora of truly human experiences. All the little moments adding to this larger picture of the sad truth of life and death. How painful love can be but it is what adds excitement and color to the world. The show takes the audience on an emotional journey from giddy joy and excitement, to wonder, moments of heartbreak and grief with some tears, but through out were so many moments of laughs. Visually absolutely stunning and such a creative use of the stage. The show proves that more doesn’t always mean better. I cannot express enough how much I adore this show. The velvet voice of Gil (played by Christopher James Tamayo in the show I got to see) woven through out the show adds a movie like quality and is one of my favorite things about Maybe Happy Ending. I risked missing my flight home for this show and I could not be more grateful that I took the chance. Maybe Happy Ending is taking top 3 favorite musicals of all time. "
