The characters were endearing and the vocals were so creative..

"Maybe Happy Ending is an understated, truly creative musical highlighting the joys and pitfalls of relationships -- through the eyes of helper bots. Just four actors, not over-the-top ballads or lights or even elaborate sets (although the stage was soooo creative). I felt like I was more than entertained as I left with thoughts and questions and plenty to discuss with my bride of 37+ years. Best show I've seen in a while!"

If it was absurd, why did we get so moved by it?
"We attended the 400th performance of MHE, and it was hitting on all cylinders. We could feel the actors commitment to this production, in all its absurdist and profound context. Funny and compelling, I'm so tempted to throw in the old "you'll laugh, you'll cry" saw. Technically dazzling without it ever impinging on the story. Kudos to cast and crew.
