Must See!
"I loved that the show was still set in the early 1900's but had a modern feel to it too. It was very well acted and the best part is they stayed true to the minimal staging/props so you can see the town and homes in your mind. I believe teens will do well in this show, but it is not for young children. The message is as poignant now, as it was when the play was written and I personally feel it is a reminder of how quickly life passes and how we should cherish today and those around us. I highly recommend seeing Our Town!"

A wonderful production
"A fantastic production - I thought everything about it was note perfect. The entire cast was superb and balanced each other well. The choice not to have an intermission was inspired - it condensed the play in a way that increased intimacy and immediateness between the actors and the audience. For almost two hours you couldn’t hear a pin drop in the theater. First time in a long time I’ve been to a show where there isn’t whispering, candy papers rustling and people shifting constantly in their seats. Phenomenal! And it reminded me why Our Town is such a highly regarded work of American Literature. "

This would be a great show for teens and even mature tweeters.
"The performance has demonstrated the universality of this play. I never can leave a presentation of Wilder's play without a tear and a thoughtful expression that stays with me throughout the evening. "

Amazing show!!
"While the entire cast did an extraordinary job, it is Jim Parsons that owns the stage. The simplicity of the set was very effective. "

Everything old is new again...almost
"Marvelous staging of this classic play with a wonderfully diverse cast that adds an up-to-date, honest view while preserving the traditional perspective. Jim Parsons seems made for the role of Stage Manager and does a bang up sympathetic job. Hardly a dry eye around me (me too). Thank you, thank you for this overdue staging! Hope it gets extended! It deserves to!"

"Jim Parsons was excellent. When one knows what’s coming, but still still choke up…. Really felt empathy toward all the characters."

Famous actors but unpretentious, simple and well done
"The Barrymore Theatre was classic and intimate. Even though we had some of the least expensive seats in the mezzanine, we could still see the actors well and hear everything. Enjoyed seeing one of my all-time favorite plays while in NYC for Christmas!!"

Engaging Performance
"A modern take on an American classic. It was fast a moving, engaging performance. Several well known actors gave top notch interpretations of their characters. A sobering timeless message on how to enjoy your time on the planet. Row Q in the middle floor section rocks. "

Very touching performance - bring tissues!
"First of all the story is a classic. The acting was very good. The 1st act is a little slow, but we know that, as most of the act is setting up the history of the town along with numerous details of the plot. Act 2 & 3 are very strong...with Act 3 tugging at emotions (not a dry eye in the theater). I thoroughly enjoyed the cast...Jim Parsons is quick and articulate as the narrater (with just enough of his comic relief). Zoey Deutch is so engulfed in her role, she was still choked up during bows...and of course Richard Thomas is money! The show moves pretty quickly without an intermission. "

Life affirming and wonderful play
"A wonderful exploration of what it is to be human. A play that makes you reflect on your own mortality and how remarkable all of our lives are just in the fact that we exist as we are and around the people we do. Hard not to sob through. A remarkable piece of theatre."

A remarkable cast brings a beautiful show to life
"Do not miss this show. Zoey Deutch as Emily cannot be surpassed. Just a joy to behold. Such real and tender emotion in her performance. Such depth and resonance. Jim Parsons and Richard Thomas are perfect as are the rest of the ensemble. Billy Eugene Jones and Ephraim Sykes as well. And Katie Holmes! What a cast. BEAUTIFULLY directed and lit. This will have an impact on me for many months to come. "

A Great Performance of an American Classic.
"Being a fan of the headliners from their prior work is what peaked my interest in seeing this show but the entire cast was great. I especially loved Zoey Deutch and Jim Parsons portrayals of their respective roles. And Richard Thomas' sorrow was so palpable that I cried as I felt his loss. I would highly recommend this show, for me it was a great way to spend the day and the All Star cast made this performance very enjoyable. "
