Voices from the heavens
"The show was absolutely beautiful. The costumes were incredibly creative, and the music was just delightful. The voices of Nala and Mufasa are true stand outs for such beauty. Their voices radiated throughout that theater like no others. Their voices moved right through my body and there were times throughout the show that I was just so moved. This was a memorable event I shared with my daughter and will forever cherish.

"We have seen a travelling version of Lion King, which is quite wonderful. But in its own theater, it's a different experience. You should go."

Great show
"This is my third time watching Lion King in Broadway. The overall performances, stage design, casts, props were fantastic. My kids and I loved it.
The only thing I’d mention is that there were some ( not sure if they come from other Lion King movies?) songs and music in the show which weren’t that amusing to us, as we were expecting the real life version of Lion King animation. The taste of those songs/music that seemed a bit different from the animation movie. But overall I loved every minute, every essence of the musical. Thank you for the great show! "

The Artist in me loved it!
"The costumes and props were soooooo creative. A few parts were "scary" and a child near us did not want to come back after intermission. Know what your child can handle. 8 and up, no problem I would think."

Nice, family show
"The singing, choreography, and creative way the story is presented is outstanding. There is no graphic violence, sex, or cursing.
However there are scenes where the props used are worn and outdated. The baby lion is a doll with no eyes. The stampede scene is a drum roll of paper with printed designs that are continuously moving around in a circle. For $200. a seat I expected better.
Having the characters come out into the audience is a spark of brilliance. Could there be more interactive elements included in the story such as movements of the seats, confetti sprinkled on audience or an explosion of paper fireworks that spill out into the audience?
Just asking….

Third time I’ve seen it
"I’ve seen this twice in the UK on tour before going to broadway. The show itself is great but was ruined by audience members next to us and around us talking through it that the stewards did nothing about. Highly disrespectful. "

The Lion King
A lively stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 Disney film, The Lion King is the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands.
When an unthinkable tragedy, orchestrated by Simba’s wicked uncle, Scar, takes his father’s life, Simba flees the Pride Lands, leaving his loss and the life he knew behind. But when weight of responsibility and a desperate plea from the now ravaged Pride Lands come to find the adult prince, Simba must take on a formidable enemy, and fulfill his destiny to be king.
