Dazzling vampire musical flies high with thrills and heart!
"I watched the 1987 movie before seeing the show and I did not like it. The show is FAR BETTER than the film! I knew the flying and other special effects would be dazzling, and I wasn't disappointed. Wow! The stunts were eye-popping, thrilling. What surprised me is that I got EMOTIONAL watching this show, due to the outstanding performances of Shoshana Bean as Lucy, the mom, and her sons, played by LJ Benet and Benjamin Pajak. I just liked their family dynamic. I also really enjoyed the young vampire hunters, Jennifer Duka and Miguel Gil, the Frog siblings - they were a hoot! And, of course, the vampires, especially Ali Louis Bourzgui as David, were amazing! My sister and I sat in the 2nd balcony and the vampires flew as high as our nosebleed seats! (Good thing they didn't notice our noses bleeding!)"

Lost Boys Take Flight
"The Broadway Musical The Lost Bost gives a modern day spin to a classic 1980’s cult classic classic. The effects and flight scenes are nothing short of stunning!! The cast boast vocals that will leave you wanting more at the end of each number. The choreography and cast interaction bring to life a movie that I never would have believed could be turned into a musical and even improved upon the original! Humor and references to the original screenplay are loaded throughout and if you have time to see it before the show it will add to the overall effect but it definitely is not necessary to enjoy this journey into the darkness of Santa Carla, California. The entire family can enjoy this show and will ask how they did that over and over. I have been twice now! The soundtrack will definitely be a broadway legend that generations to come will sing and will live on forever!! I highly recommend the Lost Boys Musical, I will be attending again on the future!!!"

Great Show
"You don't need to see the original movie when you go to the show but you will want to afterwards :) Loved it! Went with our son (who grew up watching the movie over and over again) and our 17 year old grandson who was generally surprised that he loved it and wants to watch the movie!

9 big thumbs up!!!
"There were 9 of us attending the performance including 4 teenagers. Everyone agreed that this is one of the best we’ve seen. (We go once a year). I was a little apprehensive since The Lost Boys is one of my favorite movies and it has a wonderful soundtrack but this adaptation did not disappoint! Ali Louis Boutzgui is chillingly creepy as David and LJ Benet shines as moody, teen angsty Michael. Set design is amazing and the music often brought tears I loved it so much.
Definitely recommend this for teenagers. "

A spectacle of everything!
"This was my first experience of a Broadway show ON Broadway. I was a fan of the movie, so although I was skeptical the live show would be as good since it was based on a cult-hit movie, I figured it was a safe bet that I'd enjoy it out of all the other Broadway options available to me. I was surprisingly blown away! My biggest highlight is the overall production quality of the stagecraft, lighting, and effects. I feel very fortunate to have seen it in its maiden run since I think it could be hard to replicate as a traveling show. Some very creative scene work to recreate iconic segments from the movie while introducing new ones unique to the musical.
I was also very impressed with the script, with the mom in particular getting some great characterization and heart not present in the movie, and some other funny references and playful moments. The actors were all fantastic--shoutout to David who I wish just had a smidge more stagetime due to how fun he was--and some really talented singing. I saw another traveling "contemporary" Broadway show recently and I wasn't a total fan of the musical style, but I actually enjoyed the songs in The Lost Boys. The only thing I lament is that as good as the songwriting was, it didn't feel 80s enough, which is the time setting of the plot. The movie has an iconic 80s soundtrack that I wish the show had leaned into for inspiration more. At the very least, you could layer on a bit of synth or power guitar even if you wanted to keep the songwriting style more contemporary.
It had heart, it had humor, it had adventure, a touch of terror--The Lost Boys fired on all cylinders! Highly recommended to see on Broadway! "

Best musical of the year
"A must see. Whether you’re a fan of the ‘80s movie or not, it’s a theatrical phenomenon. Not to spoil anything, it’s visually stunning(lighting, staging, set design, etc) AND audibly pleasing. Moving, thoughtful numbers that give nod to the ‘80s genres and movie, but also marvelously composed to set the vibe, capture the moment, and drive the story on. Ensemble is perfectly cast and deliver honest, funny and moving performance. Absolutely recommend "

My new fav!
"The Lost Boys exceeded all of my expectations and hopes! The vocals were absolutely flawless, and the set was incredibly engaging. True to the original storyline, the production emphasized messages in the film that had escaped me as a teen watching it hundreds of times with my friends, so I enjoyed the nostalgia and the complexity. Fantastic Show
"The show had me laughing one minute and crying the next. LJ Benet and Shoshanna Bean were especially good. Their voices and songs just cut right to my soul. As a teen / young adult of the 80's, I loved the inside jokes and nods to that period of time. I went with my 2 young adult daughters and they loved it as well. Logistically, I was impressed how quickly ticket holders were ushered inside despite a long line out front. Our seats were comfortable and the theatre was beautiful. The special effects incorporated in the show were incredible. I would definitely see it again!"

Electric! A must-see
"Really wasn't familiar with the source material but the incredible performance during the Tony Awards convinced me to buy tickets while on my next trip to New York.
From the minute the show begins, you know this is going to be a HUGE production. The music is loud and compelling, vocals are pitch perfect, and the set pieces and lighting are truly out of this world. The stars are incredible- especially LJ Benet and Shoshana Bean!
The crowd was rowdy right from the get go and cheering loudly for every song- felt closer to a rock concert than a Broadway show!
There's something for everyone in this show- but I feel like families with pre teens/teens as well as fans of 80's nostalgia/rock music are going to love this the most. Do not miss this one!"

About
The Lost Boys, A New Musical
Get ready for the ride of your life with The Lost Boys, the most Tony Award®-winning new musical of the year. It’s a “thrilling, blockbuster event” (People), “a breathtaking adventure unlike any musical seen before” (New York Post), and “the best new musical of the season” (The Washington Post).
When Michael moves to California with his younger brother Sam and their mother Lucy, he’s desperate to leave his old life behind and start fresh. A wild night out on the boardwalk finds him in the shadows of Santa Carla and brings him face-to-face with David, the magnetic leader of a local rock band. David and his bandmates offer Michael freedom, adventure, and the connection he’s been longing to find. But when the band’s dark secret finally comes out, Michael must decide how far he’s willing to go to belong.
Based on the classic Warner Bros. film, The Lost Boys is “a jaw-dropping, rock-fueled must-see” (Cosmopolitan) featuring Tony-winning performances from Shoshana Bean and Ali Louis Bourzgui. Directed by three-time Tony winner Michael Arden (Maybe Happy Ending, Parade), the production features Tony-nominated music and lyrics by The Rescues, a book by Tony nominees David Hornsby and Chris Hoch, choreography by Tony nominees Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Cree Grant (Parade), and music supervision by Tony nominee Ethan Popp (Tina). The Lost Boys is produced by James Carpinello, Marcus Chait, and Patrick Wilson.
