The winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. The Outsiders features a “tuneful and soul-bearing” (New York Stage Review) original score, “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), and a “sensational young cast” (The Wall Street Journal) that brings the show to life.
"we absolutely loved this performance. the cast and choreography were both amazing. one of the best, if not THE best Broadway show I have seen over the past few years and we see several a year.
I think I may come back and see it again, it was THAT good! it is no wonder they won Best Musical. "

"This is the best staged play (lighting, choreography, sound, )that I have seen!
(and I have seen a LOT of shows both in London and New York)
Great plot, talent and acting was top-notch...everything you would expect from a Broadway show and more.
I highly recommend this. It will not disappoint.

"The show exceeded our expectations with very unique and effective sound and lighting effects. Singing- outstanding! Well- adapted to book with a couple modernizations. Language was disappointing which eliminates taking a younger audience, but excellent musical!"

"A tour de force performance from a talented passionate cast. You are quickly pulled into Tulsa, 1967 by Pony Boy’s desperate search for a life with deeper meaning. However he cannot escape the tragedies of small town gang violence, racism and class bigotry. Ultimately, the over arching theme of how the characters’ passionate loyalty and love provides for the sliver of hope we are all searching to feel. The voices and the dance sequences are both moving and often riveting. A must see if you’re in NYC and want to experience the very best of what this art form can be. PS - Soda Pop…was one of my faves! Simple and gruff on the outside, pure love and compassion on the inside!!! Bravo to the whole cast."

"Loved the music, the energy and the story. Only comment about children seeing it is due to a bit of language and fight scenes. Teenagers would be fine but May not be appropriate for young children.
Absolutely recommend seeing."

"My wife and I attended on her suggestion. I have not been a big show goer in the past, so my experience is limited.
However, I do know when I see something I like and when I am impressed by it.
This show was amazing. It was well constructed and directed and truly portrayed a story from start to finish. It had my attention the entire time and I felt pulled-in and involved in it. The Cast members (team) were amazing.
Seeing this show has inspired me to seek out others to hopefully experience to the same feelings. I was blown away and would see it again tomorrow !! For Real."

I grew up reading the book and saw the movie ( Gen Xers unite!) many, many times and the play did both justice. I left the theatre rushing home to see the movie. Simply wonderful! Thank you for putting on such a fantastic performance. Bravo!!!!"

"This show is extraordinarily well produced. The special effects and choreography are amazing. The music is great. The cast is expert with amazing vocalists. The story is sad but the musical portrayal of it is beautiful. The vocals, harmony and music all go together for one of the best shows you can see. It will stand out in our memories, whereas numerous others have already faded away. The accolades are well deserved."
