Outstanding but…
"The show is amazing, the music, the choreographing, the slow motion and acting all terrific. The music and singing was great and all the rumbles were fun to watch. However, I sat in the very front row, and although I was told when I bought the tickets that objects fly off the stage, I feel that safety glasses should’ve been provided for the first couple of rows just to protect their eyes as they were viewing. I felt having to shield my eyes frequently, took away some of the show for me."

Everything I hoped for
"The Outsiders has been a favorite book of mine for many years. It’s got depth and addresses hard issues. I read the book again on the plane coming to NYC.
To watch the story unfold through song was beautiful.
The characters drew me in. The voice quality and acting quality were wonderful.
The creativity of the way the props were used was amazing.
I enjoyed getting a little more of Darry’s perspective throughout the performance.
Though there is no way you could have it be exactly like the book, the choices you made still kept with the feeling. (In the book, The part where Randy talks to Ponyboy and tells him he’s not going to rumble helps humanize the Soc community some.)
I’m more a big fan of all the swearing, but I also know the feeling that it needed to convey for this story.
I was emotionally moved throughout the whole performance. Probably the highlight of my trip- and that’s saying something!
