Former daytime talk-show queen Rosie O’Donnell will soon be back on the airwaves with her own SIRIUS XM show: Rosie Radio. Beginning this fall, you can hear O’Donnell—and assorted celebrity guests, naturally—hold forth on anything from pop culture to current events every Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to Noon EST on SIRIUS XM Stars (SIRIUS channel 102, XM channel 155). Listeners will also have the chance to call in.
In a statement, the Emmy winner/Broadway star/stand-up comic called the show an “exciting new adventure.” She quipped: “Two hours of talk show entertainment, without having to wear makeup. Perfection.”
O’Donnell first displayed her gift for gab as the host of The Rosie O’Donnell Show from 1996 to 2002. She later returned to daytime TV in 2006, replacing Meredith Vieira as the moderator of ABC’s The View, and departed amid a flurry of on-air in-fighting with cohost Elisabeth Hasselbeck less than a year later.
SIRIUS XM also features shows hosted by Howard Stern and daytime divas Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart and O’Donnell’s former View cohort Barbara Walters.
