New stars Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman will join the cast of the West End’s Wicked on March 29, 2010. Tucker will replace Alexia Khadime as Elphaba and Dearman will replace Dianne Pilkington as Glinda in the smash-hit musical that plays at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre.
Belfast-born Tucker just ended a stint playing Meat in the Queen/Ben Elton musical We Will Rock You at the Dominion Theatre. She was a semi-finalist in the hugely popular BBC1 series I'd Do Anything and has recently been co-presenting The Friday Show with Eamonn Holmes for BBC Northern Ireland.
Dearman recently starred as Eva Peron in the U.K. national tour of Evita. She appeared in the West End revival of Guys and Dolls at the Piccadilly Theatre and starred as Sarah Brown in the subsequent U.K. national tour. She is about to finish playing the title role in Cinderella opposite Mickey Rooney for First Family Entertainment.
Current cast members Khadime and Pilkington will play their final performances on March 27, 2010. Additional cast changes will be announced shortly.
