Whistle, Anyone? Donna, Sutton, Raul & More Prep for an Exciting Encores! Event

Don’t ask us to summarize the plot of Anyone Can Whistle, a satire set in an imaginary town ruled by a corrupt mayoress, but we know one thing: We can’t wait to see a cast of Broadway all-stars tackle Stephen Sondheim and Arthur Laurents’ short-lived 1964 musical in the season finale at Encores! Featuring Donna Murphy as Mayoress Cora Hoover Hooper, Sutton Foster as Nurse Fay Apple and Raul Esparza as the mysterious J. Bowden Hapgood, the five-performance run of Whistle at New York City Center is one of spring’s hottest tickets.
