Tony-winning actress and TV icon Linda Lavin is returning to Broadway this spring in a play that’s close to her heart: Donald Margulies’ acclaimed drama Collected Stories . Lavin plays a celebrated short story writer opposite Sarah Paulson as the bright young student she mentors. Over the course of six years, the women’s relationship gets turned on its head in ways that raise questions about ambition, inspiration and loyalty. During a rehearsal break at Manhattan Theatre Club's rehearsal space, Lavin and Paulson chatted about the play along with Margulies and director Lynne Meadow, who produced the off-Broadway debut of Collected Stories at MTC in 1997.
