It’s been a fabulous season on Broadway, and our resident artist Justin "Squigs" Robertson has been on the scene each week, capturing the essence of the shows and stars for Broadway.com readers. In honor of the 2011 Tony Awards, Squigs produced a very special portrait that includes every acting nominee, plus salutes to Best Play hopeful War Horse and Best Book nominee Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. See if you can identify the actors in this mega-drawing, lovingly portrayed in character by the very talented Justin Robertson. Congratulations, and cheers!
About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home. Photo by Matthew Murphy
