Date Set for 2012 Tony Award Nominations Announcement

The announcement of the 2012 Tony Award nominations will take place on May 1 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center at Lincoln Center. The event will be broadcast live at TonyAwards.com. No broadcast time has been set.

The previously announced 66th Annual Tony Awards ceremony will take place at the Beacon Theatre on June 10. Directed by Ricky Kirshner, the event is a celebration of distinguished achievement on Broadway. The Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Broadway productions must officially open by April 26 to be considered eligible for a 2012 Tony Award nomination.
