A new spin on the classic game of cat and mouse. The New York premiere of Eric Bogosian’s Red Angel is heading to Theatre Row’s Studio Theatre. Directed by Feliziano Flores, the off-Broadway production will play performances February 27 through March 2.
When David Blau—famous writer and guest professor at an elite college—meets pretty, young grad student Leena, the tables turn on his seduction and he gets caught in an unfamiliar struggle for power. In this carnal and unforgiving play, Bogosian levels the playing field in the battle of the sexes.
Bogosian is most well-known for writing and starring in the play and the film adaptation of Talk Radio. Other stage credits as an actor include Men Inside and Wake Up and Smell The Coffee. Bogosian has also penned plays including subUrbia, Griller and Humpty Dumpty. His film and TV credits include The Caine Mutiny Court Martial, Under Seige II and Wonderland.
The cast of Red Angel stars Drew Anthony Allen (as David Blau), Stefanie Karis, Jimmy Joe McGurl, and Krissy Garber (as Leena). The design team features set design by David Rubin, lighting design by Sarah Burke and costume design by Ruth Gersh.
