Two-time Tony winner Judith Light will star alongside Henry Winkler in the ABC pilot The Winklers. The comedy is inspired by Winkler’s relationship with his son-in-law, and follows a construction worker who unexpectedly lives with his in-laws, a successful actor and fabulous matron (enter Winkler and Light).
Madame Rose Heads to the Small Screen
No, the Babs-driven Gypsy isn’t happening…yet. Hairspray film director Adam Shankman has been tapped to direct and produce a new biopic for HBO Films based on the iconic stage mother. The film, titled Madame Rose, will tell the true story of the woman whose life was depicted in the memoirs of June Havoc and Gypsy Rose Lee, and, of course, in the musical Gypsy.
Everybody Rise! Elaine Stritch Documentary Available on VOD
Following an official New York premiere last month and a rollout in several cities across America, Elaine Stritch; Shoot Me, the documentary of the iconic actress, is now available on Video On Demand.
