So You Think You Can Dance Finalist Matt Dorame Joins Off-Broadway’s iLuminate

He wowed audiences as a Season 4 finalist on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance and now he’s lighting up off-Broadway. Matt Dorame has joined the cast of iLuminate at New World Stages. The new 2014 edition of the show opened on January 27.

In addition to appearing on So You Think You Can Dance, Dorame has toured internationally with Los Angeles Classical Ballet, Odyssey Dance Theatre and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. He was also a principal dancer on MTV’s The American Mall.

iLuminate, which first got attention as a contestant on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, tells the fantastical story of Jacob, a talented young artist who struggles to connect with the real world. He takes comfort in his magical paintbrush, which gives him the ability to turn the characters in his imagination into living creations. The show combines music, art, dance and technological magic to create a theatrical spectacle.
