In Get What You Need life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness don't seem like enough when you can't pay the bills, your daughter has mysterious allergies, and your husband likes to bet on horses. Jackie Bacon and Edgar Hamilton love each other and are working hard to make ends meet--without much success. That is, until a long last friend with a golden opportunity visits.
Bacon has appeared off-Broadway in Orphan of Zhao, More Stately Mansions, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, Race, Arabian Nights, Carson McCullers and Omnium Gatherum also helmed by Frears. Her regional credits include All My Sons, The Black Monk, Phedre, Mary Stuart, The Glass Menagerie, God of Vengeance, Hedda Gabler, Molly Sweeney and Three Sisters.
Hamilton made his Broadway debut in 2001 in Proof. His off-Broadway credits include Music From a Sparkling Planet, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, As Bees In Honey Drown, The Waverly Gallery, The Cider House Rules, SubUrbia, Women and Wallace, Sons and Fathers, Wonderful Times and Evolution.
Draper's New York theatrical credits include Golden Boy, Waiting for Lefty, The Seagull, Scenes from an Execution, The Pitchfork Disney, Oedipus, Scapin and The Triumph of Love. He has also appeared regionally in productions of Three Days of Rain, Rocket to the Moon, La Ronde, Arcadia, A Fair Country, Three Sisters and The Crucifer of Blood.
Smith earned Tony nominations for her work in The Grapes of Wrath and Buried Child. Her other Broadway credits include Time Out for Ginger, The Young and Beautiful, Orpheus Descending, Edwin Booth, The Iceman Cometh and Stages. Smith, who has appeared in numerous feature films, won a National Society of Film Critics' Award for her performance in Five Easy Pieces.
