Christopher Sieber is set to return to the Broadway revival of Chicago from June 17 through August 1. He will take over for Tom Wopat, who will play his last performance as slick lawyer Billy Flynn on June 16.
Sieber is currently starring in the Reprise! concert staging of Company through June 6. He previously played Chicago's Billy Flynn from March 21 through May 4. He is a Broadway vet, having appeared in Beauty and the Beast, Triumph of Love, Into the Woods and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He also toured the U.S. in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Meet Me in St. Louis. His other theatrical credits include Boys in the Band, A Christmas Carol, Paper Moon and Pal Joey. This year Sieber was seen on the small screen in the ABC comedy It's All Relative.
Chicago currently stars Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Charlotte d'Amboise as Roxie Hart, Wopat as Flynn, P.J. Benjamin as Amos Hart and Roz Ryan as Matron Mama Morton. Paige Davis will appear as Roxie Hart from June 22 to August 8, 2004. After Sieber's return engagment, Marti Pellow of Wet Wet Wet fame is set to play Flynn for performances beginning on August 3.
