MTC's Sight Unseen Extends to July 25

The Manhattan Theatre Club has extended its run of Donald Margulies' Sight Unseen, starring Laura Linney and Ben Shenkman, by two weeks. It will now run at the Biltmore Theatre through July 25.

Sight Unseen centers on celebrated artist Jonathan Waxman Shenkman who, despite immense popularity, yearns for something more in his life. His soul-searching leads him to visit an old girlfriend Linney he selfishly dismissed over a decade before. The cast of the MTC production also includes Byron Jennings and Ana Reeder.

Directed by Daniel Sullivan, Sight Unseen opened on May 25 to mixed reviews. In his Broadway.com Review of the show, Eric Grode wrote: "Shenkman may be a tad young for Jonathan, but his gawky body language and tremulous voice are ideally suited to this gifted man-child. And Linney brings all her technical skill and emotional transparency to Patricia, a wounded character that could easily become the lead male's therapist. By now, it's practically a given that Sullivan will elicit every last ounce of pathos and humor from his actors, and he doesn't disappoint."
