Michael O'Keefe will join Mary-Louise Parker, Debra Monk and Rosie Perez in the Manhattan Theatre Club/Second Stage co-production of Reckless. He will play Lloyd, who is the husband of Perez' Pooty, in the play.
O'Keefe won a Theatre World Award for his performance in Mass Appeal on the Great White Way. He has also appeared on Broadway in Fifth of July and Side Man. His off-Broadway credits include That Championship Season, Short Eyes, The Young Girl and the Monsoon, Christmas on Mars, Killdeer and Uncle Vanya. O'Keefe was a regular on the series Against the Law and Roseanne. He received a 1981 Oscar nomination for his supporting performance in The Great Santini. His other film credits include Caddyshack, Ironweed, Nina Takes a Lover, Three Wishes, Ghosts of Mississippi, The Pledge, The Glass House and The Hot Chick.
Reckless, directed by Mark Brokaw, is scheduled to begin Broadway previews at the Biltmore Theatre on September 22 in preparation for an October 14 opening.
