Broadway Grosses: Roof Rebounds

Broadway is getting into a post-holiday groove. Receipts were up from the previous week for most shows. The two musicals that bounced the highest were The Boy from Oz and Fiddler on the Roof, which jumped up by $145,165 and $140,055 respectively. The Boy from Oz's gain can be attributed to the show returning to an eight-show schedule after playing seven shows the week before, while Fiddler's increase might be a result of the popularity of star Alfred Molina's other summer vehicle: Spider-Man 2.
