Brian Sutherland stars as Julian, the 40-ish matinee idol. He has appeared on Broadway in Cats, Dance a Little Closer, A Change in the Heir, Steel Pier and 1776. His off-Broadway credits include The Hunchback of Notre Dame at the Westbeth Theatre.
Easton won a 2001 Tony Award for his portrayal of the older A.E. Houseman in The Invention of Love. His other Broadway credits include Noises Off, Exit the King, The Misanthrope, The Cherry Orchard, Hamlet, Back to Methuselah, Country Wife, School for Scandal and Henry IV. This season, he will return to the Great White Way in The Rivals at Lincoln Center.
The national tour of On the Record, directed and choreographed by Robert Longbottom, will begin in Cleveland at the Palace Theatre on November 9. In addition to those mentioned above, the cast will feature Ashley Brown as Kristen, the fresh-faced and talented newcomer to the recording studio and Andrew Samonsky as Nick, the up-and-coming performer, who is sure to be the "next big thing", Meredith Inglesby, Andy Karl, Tyler Maynard, Keewa Nurullah, Josh Franklin, Leigh Ann Larkin, Koh Mochizuki and Lyn Philistine.
