The actor is best known for his work on the small screen. He can currently be seen playing George Bluth Sr., the incarcerated father of a dysfunctional family, on the acclaimed series Arrested Development. He was nominated for a 2004 Emmy Award for his performance in the comedy. Tambor previously earned four Emmy nominations for his work on The Larry Sanders Show. He made his film debut in Norman Jewison's 1979 film And Justice For All..
