The New York premiere of Julia Cho's B.F.E. will complete the 2004-2005 Playwrights Horizons season. The show, which is being presented in association with Long Wharf Theatre, is scheduled to run at from May 19 through June 12.
An Asian-American family attempts to escape its stifling home life in B.F.E., which tells the story of 14-year-old Panny, her socially awkward uncle, her homebound mom who fantasizes about General MacArthur and the serial killer that stalks their neighborhood in search of bubbly blondes.
The piece, directed by Gordon Edelstein, will run at Long Wharf from April 13 through May 1. It is scheduled to officially open off-Broadway on May 31.
ThePlaywrights season also includes People Be Heard which just ended its run on the Main Stage, Spatter Pattern or, How I Got Away With It, Rodney's Wife, On the Mountain and Memory House.
