Carson Elrod will replace Jeremy Shamos in the Manhattan Theatre Club/Second Stage co-production of Reckless. Shamos departs on November 14 to prepare for his role in Lincoln Center Theater's mounting of The Rivals. Elrod will begin playing Tim and Roy in Reckless on November 16.
Elrod has appeared on Broadway in Noises Off. He is a Manhattan Theatre Club veteran, having been featured in the company's productions of House/Garden and Comic Potential. His other New York theatrical credits include Waiting for Godot and Cavedweller.
Craig Lucas' Reckless, directed by Mark Brokaw, is scheduled to run at the Biltmore Theatre through December 19. Mary-Louise Parker, Debra Monk, Michael O'Keefe, Olga Merediz, Rosie Perez and Thomas Sadoski continue to star in the dark comedy.
