Lazer Vaudeville will be the final show at the John Houseman Theatre before the venue is demolished. The production, directed by Carter Brown and choreographed by Cindy Marvell, is set to begin performances on February 16 in preparation for a March 9 opening.
Juggling, lasers, magic, classic screwball comedy and technology take center stage in Lazer Vaudeville. The show stars bicycle hoop-roller and rope-spinner Brown, international juggling champion Marvell and acrobatic box juggler Nicholas Flair.
As we previously reported, off-Broadway will lose the John Houseman Theatre on May 31--the property has been sold to developers. Thus, Lazer Vaudeville only has a limited time at the space; it is scheduled to close there on May 14th.
The Houseman is currently occupied by Lone Star Love, which is scheduled to end its engagement on February 6.
