Tomei won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1993 for her performance as Mona Lisa Vito, Joe Pesci's sassy girlfriend in My Cousin Vinny. She was nominated again in 2002 for her portrayal of a troubled single mother in In The Bedroom. Tomei's other film credits include Chaplin, Four Rooms, Slums of Beverly Hills, Untamed Heart, Anger Management and Alfie. Her Broadway debut came in 1998 when she headlined a stage version of the thriller Wait Until Dark. During the 2002-2003 theatrical season she also appeared in Salomé in Brooklyn and on Broadway. Her off-Broadway credits include Waiting for Lefty, What The Butler Saw, Slavs!, Dark Rapture, Demonology and The Vagina Monologues.
Set in small-town America, This Is How It Goes centers on an interracial love triangle between two men, one white and one black and a white woman.
The play, directed by George C. Wolfe, is scheduled to run from March 8 through April 10.
