Anderson played Collins in an early workshop of the piece and returned to it as part of the original Broadway company. He played his final performance on Sunday, February 6, amid rumors producers were trying to recast the role with a more bankable star.
An actor known for his work on both screen and stage, Anderson was nominated for a Tony Award for his work in Death of a Salesman and also appeared on the Great White Way in Orpheus Descending. His off-Broadway credits include Speaking in Tongues, The Red Address, Brilliant Traces, Moonchildren and Orphans. On the London stage, Anderson has been featured in Dinner with Friends, Sunset Boulevard and Orphans. Anderson starred in last season's short-lived Fox series Skin as a Los Angeles district attorney fighting the porn industry.
Morgan currently serves as an understudy for the role of Taylor and a vocalist in the Broadway company of Brooklyn. He previously appeared in The Who's Tommy on the Great White Way. His other theatrical credits include Heat Lightning off-Broadway and regional mountings of Hamlet and Dracula.
Brooklyn also stars Eden Espinosa, Cleavant Derricks, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo.
