Miller studied at the Strasberg Theatre Institute and began her career on the New York stage. Her Gotham theatrical credits include The Striker, Cigarettes and Chocolate directed by well-known film director Anthony Minghella, A School for Scandal and Independence. Last year, Miller had featured roles in the movie Layer Cake which was released abroad in 2004, but had its American premiere at Sundance in January and Alfie. She is now engaged to Alfie star Jude Law. She is currently filming a leading role in the movie Casanova, directed by Lasse Hallström. Miller will next film Factory Girl, in which she stars as 1960s model/actress/party girl Edie Sedgwick. Among her other notable credits is a regular role on TV's Keen Eddie.
McCrory will also appear in Casanova. Her theatrical credits include Macbeth, Pride and Prejudice, Blood Wedding, The Seagull, Twelfth Night, Uncle Vanya, Devil's Disciple, Five Gold Rings and Old Times. In addition to Casanova, her film credits include The Flemish Board, Interview with the Vampire, James Gang, The Count of Monte Crisco, Charlotte Gray and Enduring Love.
In As Your Like It, a duke usurps his brother's land and power, banishing him and his attendants into the forest of Arden. The banished duke's daughter, Rosalind the role McCrory would play, remains with her cousin Celia the role Miller would play. She has fallen in love with Orlando, but he has his own tyrannical brother to contend with, so he joins those in the forest. Rosalind, now banished, disguises herself as a young man, with Celia as her servant, and follows Orlando into the forest. Can true love find a way, and can brothers be reconciled and harmony restored?
The plan is to open As You Like It, directed by David Lan, in late spring for a limited run. However, the arrangements all hinge on Miller's filming dates for Factory Girl, which are currently being worked out.
