"Sergio Trujillo has joined the creative team of All Shook Up," a production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com. "The entire production team is thrilled to have him."
Trujillo's choreography credits include Bare, the Encores! mounting of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Jersey Boys at the La Jolla Playhouse, Peggy Sue Got Married in the West End and both The Sound of Music and West Side Story at the Stratford Festival. He began his career as a performer and appeared on Broadway in Jerome Robbins' Broadway, Guys and Dolls and Fosse. He is also the choreographer of the upcoming musical version of The Mambo Kings.
Trujillo was flown out to see the show during its tryout at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theater. He gave notes on the production at that time, but he did not begin working with the cast until recently.
Roberson is the second choreographer All Shook Up has had. He was brought in before the Chicago engagement in place of Jodi Moccia, who choreographed the musical at Goodspeed.
