After Ashley, which was a big critical hit at the Humana Festival of New American Plays in Louisville, follows the aftermath of a media frenzy--and its very personal effect on a 17-year-old boy.
The Vineyard production, directed by Terry Kinney, opened February 28 to mixed reviews. In his Broadway.com Review of the play, William Stevenson wrote: "Despite its wry observations, believable dialogue and well-rounded characters, After Ashley eventually runs out of gas. That's not to say it isn't worth seeing. It is. And that's partly because the cast is so good."
In addition to Culkin and Paquin, Tim Hopper, Grant Shaud, Mark Rosenthal and Dana Eskelson star.
