Written and performed by comedians Arj Barker, Doug Benson and Tony Camin, The Marijuana-logues explores just about everything having to do with the sticky subject of pot. Barker, Benson and Camin performed the show throughout the country, stopping for short runs at various theaters. For New York, a new director, Jim Millan the founder of Toronto's Crow's Theatre who is also known for his work with Kids in the Hall, was brought on board. Tommy Chong was also seen as a guest star in the Gotham production.
The Marijuana-Logues opened off-Broadway on March 30. In his Broadway.com Review of the production, William Stevenson wrote: "This ode to pot by three stoners--I mean, stand-up comedians--exhausts just about every possible joke on the subject for 90 minutes. It's collegiate humor that, as one might expect, wears a little thin before the end. But along the way there are some comic highs."
