As we previously mentioned, Kevin Anderson will leave the Broadway musical Brooklyn this month to continue filming the big screen version of Charlotte's Web. He is taking a temporary leave of absence from the tuner for an unspecified length of time, beginning after the March 12 performance. Understudy Lee Morgan, who starred in the show's world premiere at the Denver Civic Theater, will play the part of Taylor Collins in Brooklyn while Anderson is away.
Anderson previously missed Brooklyn performances from February 8 through February 18 to film Charlotte's Web. Before, during and after his absence there has been industry chatter that producers were trying to recast the role Patrick Swayze is reportedly among the list of actors who have passed.
Brooklyn stars Eden Espinosa, Cleavant Derricks, Ramona Keller and Karen Olivo. According to a production statement, Anderson's "return date will be determined by the completion of his filming schedule."
